Generating desktop and web-based digital twins from aerial imagery for city modeling, construction and simulation purposes, needs highly accurate 3D meshes. Furthermore true orthophotos are often desired for accurate planimetric mapping, automatic feature extraction and the overlay of other GIS data, especially in urban mapping applications.
